Hampton Pointe at New River
Nestled within bountiful trees, quiet lakes and the exquisite natural beauty of the Lowcountry, lies the budding new community of Hampton Pointe at New River, a Nicklaus Country Club community. Fashioned in many ways after Hampton Hall and with flavors of Belfair and Berkeley Hall, this Toll Brothers community is, indeed, one to watch. With homes beginning in the $300,000 (pre-construction pricing), ranging from elegant townhomes and villas to expansive Estate homes and Carolina homes, Phase I of the community will most likely be a sellout. As David Lereah says in his book, Are You Missing the Real Estate Boom, “if you can identify really hot real estate markets, there are opportunities for buyers and investors to purchase pre-construction real estate. A pre-construction strategy involves identifying a local market that is expected to experience meaningful price appreciation over the next 12 months.” With the explosion of growth in Jasper County, Hampton Pointe fits all the “hot real estate market” criteria.
Hampton Pointe at New River is within thirty minutes to downtown Savannah, less than 35 minutes to Sea Pines and its pristine beaches and no more than thirty-five minutes to historic Beaufort. The location is superb. Okatie Crossing, a soon-to-be shopping center at the intersection of SC 170 and US 278 will be a 300-acre “power and lifestyle center” as the developer calls it. The center will feature anchor stores like Barnes & Noble, Dillards, a high-quality department store, a high-profile grocery store, upscale restaurants and a variety of shops. The center should be completed by 2007.
